A Green Electric Power Grid is the Future!

The AL GORE advantage of going Green with the Electrical Power Grid is that it lays a foundation/infrastructure for the use of electric cars and hydrogen fuel cell cars! They both require electricity. This would eliminate our need for oil for transportation! Imagine an entire Planet powered by the Sun, Wind, Geo Thermal Hydro Electric and other green power. It does little good for the enviornment to have electric cars and then recharge them on a power grid powered by coal and oil! A Green Electric Power Grid = Green Transportation! Build 1 and get 1 free! A Formula for Sucess! What the World needs is for someone to take the lead and become 100% Green Electric Power Grid in 10-20 years. This would set a precedent and show the rest of the World that it can be done. This could start a Green Race," like the Space Race," except have the entire World involved! The World economy would be stimulated and geared for the future. We Believe that with such a large number of wind turbines, solar panels, geo thermal and other green power needed, that the cost per unit would be dramatically reduced.

Carbon Buy Out!

We feel that for Al Gores plan www.repoweramerica.org ,to go Green with the US electric power grid in 10 years, to work there needs to be a Carbon Buy Out for the existing electric power grid! Like the tobacco buy out. This would put money in the hands of those most effected and they will be able to invest it in the new green electric power grid! This will stimulate the growth and investment in the new grid. This would get it done quickly. The tax payer gets his moneys worth with no increase in the electric bill! Everyone Wins! The Coal industry has provided the USA with cheep reliable electricity service for years. To just abandon them in favor of a new way of doing things is just wrong! We need to make the Old Power Grid part of the New Power Grid! Also Wind and Solar is only marginally effective in some states. A totally Green Grid would leave some states out of the loop.
